Transex (transsex, transexed or transsexed): a term referring to sex labels, equivalent to transexual/transsexual and transgender, but not all transex people identify as transexuals or transgender, they label their sex as trans and go for it. This is also an umbrella term for sex labels, such as transgenital, transgonadal and many others (transcorporeal, transmental, transpsychic...). The usage could be similar to altersex, but this might not represent what transex means, since it’s been more used through history.

Definition: transcending one’s biosex or brain sex; denoting or relating to a person whose sense of sex identity or biossex does not correspond with their birth sex.

I thought I understood the illusory nature of matter: that forms were different vibratory fields like the sum of the dots in a newspaper photo or the fickle relationship between consenting protons and electrons.

But I keep walking into walls, hoping to find a hole in the molecules, a rift in the curtain.

We have a submission! Please note this is NOT necessarily my opinion (but I don't necessarily disagree with it either), but I'm posting it for discussion.

There are plenty of reasons not to like the idea of transcorporeality. There's erasure, misinformation, fundamental differences

Let's look at the LGBTQetc community. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, questioning, asexual, and pansexual, (these three are from the 'etc' part) are all sexualities*. "Trans*" is the only part of that acronym that doesn't refer to a sexuality. But many people outside of the LGBTQetc and GSM community believe that trans denotes a sexuality, partially because it is always lumped in with sexualities. Another side effect of this is that the trans* presence within the LGBTQetc community is constantly erased, and their goals and needs put on the back burner.

This is the problem that comes with grouping unlike things together. While many people appreciate the comradery a large community offers, smaller subsets are often ignored or pushed aside.

One of the biggest issues I as a trans* person have with transcorporeality is this. I do not want to be a part of another community that doesn't take my needs into consideration. When you tell people that being transabled is "just like being transgender", but you yourself are not transgender, you are erasing my experience. You're giving people a false impression of what it means to be trans*.

Again, the grouping is also an issue. Ethnicity=/=gender =/=species =/= ability. None of these things is even close to being the same. They're not impacted by society in the same ways either.

For example, otherkins aren't fighting for what transgender people are right now. Right now, the otherkin community seems to be focusing on education(1), visibility, respect, and community for itself. The trans community is working on achieving rights, medical coverage, and discrimination laws as well as education, visibility and respect for itself. Unless an individual is a transgender otherkin or an advocate for both, there is essentially no overlap between communities.

I fully support the otherkin community, but I feel tying us all in together gives people a lot of misinformation.

We've repurposed a forum we owned that went inactive, at the requests of some otherkin friends.

The Lemniscate is a discussion forum for anybody who identifies as transcorporeal- that is, that generically "the outside (or perception of it) doesn't 'fit' the inside!"

This includes plurals, otherkin, therians, trans*, transabled, transethnic, and so on.

The site is intended to be friendly toward and accepting of neurodiverse individuals and members of GSMinorities, considering the immense overlap of membership between those groups and the demographic members of the Lemniscate. 

The Lemniscate exists in two parts: The Frying Pan and The Safety Net.

The Frying Pan is a debate and discussion board that focuses on logical, skeptical assessment of experiences, beliefs, and identity. 

The Safety Net is an identity-acceptance board that focuses on social justice, tolerance, mutual respect and consent, and respect of personal boundaries.

Some sites tend to focus solely on the skeptical scientific approach, while others try to be a catch-all Safe Zone... the Lemniscate offers both in a single forum, allowing wiggle room for anybody who wants to be able to go from serious discussion to a comfortable safe space without having to switch websites.

Trigger warnings are strictly observed in the Safety Net, and the most common triggers are also warned in relevant threads in the Frying Pan. 

The site is still young, and it needs membership to thrive.

We humbly request that any interested persons signal boost this for the sake of their potentially-interested followers. This request comes with our gratitude.

Our hope is that this will be a forum space where intersecting groups can thrive and communicate with each other on a level ground, where no identity will be treated as more or less valid than enough in safe spaces, and where anybody who consents to it can be respectfully questioned in debate spaces.
