Unpopular opinion:
You can just claim youβre trace. You donβt have to do any research or even transition. If you feel in yourself that itβs a part of your identity, you can just identify that way. I saw somebeing saying that some beings werenβt βputting effortβ into their trace identity, and like, thatβs okay! You donβt have to transition, just like you donβt have to transition if youβre transgender. Idk why somebeings feel the need to police other beingsβ identities; thatβs not what our community is aboutβ¦
everyone is all for "race is a social construct!" until someone is trace / transethnicity. then, all of a sudden, race is really important.
