Hello, I just wanted to pop in to tell you that That Old Black Magic is my fave fic of all time. Every time I read it, I just want to go right back to the start and read it again. It’s like a whirlpool honestly, it sucks me right in and I have to force myself to read or even do anything else besides going back to my favorite passages (of which there are dozens) and ending up reading all the way to the end from there. And sometimes I just go back and read the epilogue so the last line can hit me again. Of course I love everything I’ve read by you, and have remembered you and your work for years as I’ve come in and out of fandom - magical theory is a favorite of mine and you are THE magical theory author for me - but I wanted to gush TOBM in particular. I read it again yesterday after seeing the “it’s not because it’s Saturday. I’ll want you tomorrow, too” scene mentioned somewhere, and I seriously was googled how to get into bookbinding after finishing it because I feel like I need to hold it and have it on my shelf. Every time I read something by you, it makes me want to write my own stories. Anyway this was pretty meandering, haha, and got away from me a bit - I guess I just want to thank you for your contributions to the fandom, in particular TOBM, and let you know how impactful your work has been for me.
