I found your blog via the post about your Titus WIP which I am so excited about but I also need you to know that Talk You Through It is LIFE CHANGING. I’ll be leaving a more coherent comment on ao3 since as an author I know how nice it is to just be able to go back and look at comments there with ease and it’s also the easiest space for a yapper like me to ramble but. LIFE CHANGING. Seriously it’s so good. Your writing flows so well.
this message made my week, thank you so much!
honestly, I have a love-hate relationship with my own writing. as much as I enjoy the process, I’m also aware that my writing style isn’t for everyone, that people consider it boring and weird and whatnot. so on multiple occasions, I’ve found myself thinking I should just cut out all those metaphors and long descriptions, because readers would prefer something simple. and sometimes I do cut them out, that’s why my editing process can take a while, depending on my mood.
but it’s so nice to know that some people can enjoy my stories. especially since I’m always nervous about my smut, and there’s quite a lot of it in “talk you through it”. so it makes me very happy you liked that fic ♡
honestly, I wish more readers left comments on fics they like. because not only is it very rewarding, but also incredibly motivating. it may take you only a few minutes to write, but those words will stay with the author for a very long time. I personally often reread some old comments to cheer myself up, and I know lots of authors do too!
