Blessings and curses, the two sides of a coin, you can't have one without the other. Not everyone can say they were given a blessing from an angel, not everyone who is given an Angel's blessing lives or even realizes they are given a blessing. The Angels seek you out. You don't seek them.

The day you realized you got an angel's blessing was a terrifying day. It all started out as normal can be until you bumped into a kid asking for help. Being a kind person, you knelt down to ask how you can help. But as you did that someone yelled behind you “to get away”. You turned around to the voice, not seeing the ‘kid’ you were about to help turn into a monstrous humanoid. It goes to attack you, but a soft gold light emits from your body protecting you. The person who yelled at you went between you and the monster to protect you from it. A girl helped you up and took you a bit away from the fight. In a blink, the monster was slain. The guy grabbed a lighter and told you to look into it. He blew the lighter out, and it didn't work. So, the mission for the day was concluded there.

You were brought to Darkwick, having a quick check up with Professor Nicolas. You were brought to Chancellor Cornelius to talk about what to do. You explained that you have no idea how you were able to protect yourself from the anomaly. You were made to take a stigma test. It was frightening, but results came in. You weren't a ghoul or had a stigma. What you are is similar to the two but different, like how darkness was different from light. But what they did know was that you were still human.

It was decided that you would join Darkwick. It was broadcasted by a Masterpiece Newscaster, that you would be joining Jabberwock as a special admissions student. You are also on paper a ghoul until they can figure out exactly what you are.

Powers/Weapon

Flight: Angel Wings can sprout from your back. They are white with flecks of gold in them.

Barrier/ Holy Light: A soft gold like light can emit around you, protecting anything hostile around you. The barrier feels warm to those who don't intend to cause you harm.

Purification: Can subdue curses and anomalies for a short period of time. This does cause strain if you use it after the time period.

Immunity to Mesmer Matches: This is an effect from the barrier since it detects Mesmer Matches as harmful.

Sigma(Blessing): Erchub- You can heal a designated part of a person by putting your hands on the wound.

The appearance of the Like Dove told him everything. He developed a seedling crush on you at that moment.

The next day, after Haru got sober, you did ask him about Rui. You didn't really know much about him. Haru does explain that Rui is also a ghoul who's also a reaper, and you were left with that because Haru went to start waking up Ren.

After that, your day went virtually pretty normal, taking care of the animals, going to class, helping with the safari tour, and checking on the animals after the tour. When you went to check on the animal supplies, you noticed you were getting low on some of the food. You told Haru you're going to go check the campus store. After checking the campus store for food, you ran into Rui. It was brief, but he did give you a little flirt.

After many other small run-ins with a little flirting on the side and Edward flirting with you. Rui finally confessed to you that he had a crush on you, and you accepted it.

Rui secretly tried to grow roses for you. After many tries, he was successful and gave them to you.

He would learn vegan recipes for you so he can cook for you.

He doesn't know chess that well, only the basics, but he learned how to play it so he can play with you.

Rui would patch up any garments for you, especially if that garment is one you love.

It was you who did the first kiss because you just learned you can subdue curses, Rui was freaked when you killed him, scared that he may have killed you, but nope, you were there alive.

Your dates would include walking around the Obscuray garden. You also sometimes tend to the garden with him. You also sometimes just hang around Obscuary as a date. Some people are worried for you because Rui is a known flirt, but he did stop most of flirting once you two go together.

He flirted with you so Rui would either confess to you or not. If Rui didn't confess, he would have tried to shoot his shot with you, but now you're with Rui. So he still kinda flirts with you when Rui isn't around. Since he's so old, he has had an experience with someone like you. He does sorta explains it to you about what you are. You were blessed by an angel. That was about it.

He heard about you in passing until one day you were eating lunch on the terrace. The only seat left was next to you, so he sat down, and after a while, a conversation started up. Later on, he heard about you from Lyca, about how you're so nice and patient with him. Subaru started to feel something, but he was sure about the feeling. Until one day, during lunch again, he sat next to you again and talked again. He now understands the feeling. He has a crush on you.

Haru Sagara

He is extremely happy to have another helping hand at Jabberwock. Peekaboo has been trying, and I mean trying to get you two together, Haru always laughs it off because Peekaboo is just a toddler who sees you as his mother. You do heal him when he hurts himself using his stigma. You make sure he's okay after he drinks himself under the table. He’s extremely grateful to have you around.

He met you through Luna (MC), and she mentioned that you like chess and maybe a good opponent for him. So you ended up playing a game of chess with him, and you were able to beat him. So you and him have a weekly chess game. He respects you as a person and finds you calming as well. You are one of the only people who has been able to break his walls down. He also doesn't use as much profanity around you.

Focused on wiping the bar counter to avoid watching this painful interaction between you and your friends, Rui didn't notice how his hand accidentally brushed against yours. It immediately made him pull himself together. Despite wearing his thick gloves, Rui stepped out of you to a safe distance as he nervously scolded you for being so reckless. The truth was that he had no idea how he instinctively came closer to you, driven by his hidden desire to compare hands with you, just like others. However, you were always aware of his inner turmoil, which is why you showed him your hand in the glove and offered him the chance to compare hands too.

At first, Rui hesitated, insisting that he's fine without it. Instead, Rui just stood here, soaking up the warmth of your touch and staring at your tiny, adorable hand that was resting atop his.

This was the first and maybe the last time he could reach his hand to the girl he likes. Even if his curse follows him forever. Even if he never gets a chance to reveal his feelings for you. This memory will warm him forever.

༘⋆𖠰 As a pretty smooth person, Rui doesn't have any particularly embarrassing moments when he totally screwed the pooch. He showed you his vulnerable side and some of his flirting may sounded more silly rather than smooth, but it wasn't embarrassing. However, there is one well-known ancient vampire in his dorm, who considers it his duty to fluster Rui in front of you as often as possible. It still remains a mystery if Edward actually wants to get you two together, or if it's just his way to alleviate boredom. But the fact is that he keeps bothering you with various stories about Rui at every opportunity.

Rui considers himself a very pacifistic person who is strongly opposed to any violation. But all he can think every moment Edward strikes up a conversation about him with you is to take his gloves off and strangle him with bare hands. Not that he actually would do it though, but if you look close you will notice a small blush spreading across Rui's cheeks as he scolds Edward for his tactless remarks.

As sad as it sounds, Rui thinks that he doesn't have any chances from the very beginning. Not when he is cursed. Not when you don't take any of his sincere confessions seriously. Rui knows very well that to you he's just a dear friend who always is by your side. No matter how much he wants to become something more, he has no right to it. Although sometimes Rui starts forgetting about his situation, and even gets a hope that there still is a chance that his feelings are mutual. Every time you agree to stay at the Obscuary House for a sleepover, or when he manages to fluster you with genuine care and compliments, Rui can't resist pondering that maybe his situation is not as hopeless as he had imagined.

All his dreams crush once Rui sees another person touch you. How you playfully hug Peekaboo and Haru, how Sho removes a leaf from your hair with such tenderness in his eyes, how you give Lucas and Kaito high-five, even how Edward puts his wicked hand on your shoulder, all this serves as a reminder for Rui that he doesn't deserve you. It returns him from heaven to earth with his worries. He isn't even human; he's just a murderer who takes others' lives. Instead of seeking your love, he should support you with someone else; Rui knows it very well. He prepared himself mentally that one day you tell him that you fell in love with someone who is not him, and Rui has no other option except to support you.

His curse and dark background are something that will always prevent him from making any serious moves. However, with enough reassurance from your side, Rui will be able to overcome his anxiety and allow himself to be with you.
