Subaru 

You look up at him, smiling.  He blushes. Not unusual. But he’s redder than you’ve ever seen him. And it’s everywhere. His cheeks, ears, neck, and somehow his arms too?? He stands up abruptly. “Sorry— I think I need to—uh— step out for a second.”   When you ask him what’s wrong, he just covers his face.  “MC… You’re just too cute.” 

Haku

Haku uses flirting as a shield, but cuteness aggression is the one thing that cracks his composure. 

He flirts with you. You make that face. His heart… hurts?   He buries his face in his palm for a few seconds.  “Huh? Haku, are you okay?”  He takes a long deep breath.  Then— a light chop to your head.   “You’re making it really hard to hold back, y’know.”  Sir, WHAT??? He messes up your hair.  “Now, where were we?”  He goes straight back to flirting and the cycle begins.   He chases the reaction but can’t handle it.

Zenji

Zenji doesn’t fight it. He embraces it fully. You smile.  He gasps.  “Wait! Don’t move.”  Pen and paper immediately. Just simple words could not possibly describe this feeling.  He mutters to himself some crazy lines.  “Like a blossom caught in a hurricane—no, too soft. A kitten with a warrior’s sword—no, too violent.” 

After that he doesn’t call you “girl” or “little lamb” he calls you his “muse.” 

Because now every time he feels that cuteness aggression, inspiration blossoms. Poems. Lyrics. Music.

Taiga

Careful, he bites. You smile.   He pauses. It’s that feeling in his chest again.  “Tch.” He grabs your hand and bites your fingertip. Not hard enough to puncture skin but just enough to soothe himself.  “Ow! W-What are you doing?” “Your fault for looking real tasty today, kitty-cat.” 

After that, it doesn’t matter when or where. 

On your fingertips, ears, arms, collarbone, neck. Basically anywhere with exposed skin. 

He’s gotten even more possessive.

If he sees you smiling in the same way to someone else, he pulls you away and just glares at the other person till they run away. 

Romeo

Romeo can’t handle genuine vulnerability so he frames your cuteness as a tactical scheme. 

You’re just kind of existing. Smiling.  Suddenly— He points his finger at you. “You're trying to get something from me, aren’t you!”  You blink. He continues.  “You’re trying to soften me up so I’ll lighten the workload!” “...Umm. I didn’t do anything.”  “I see right through it!” He’s confused. You’re confused.  He storms off. 

Ritsu

The first time he experiences it, he’s super confused and confides in you about it. “MC, every time you do that, I feel this tightening in my chest. It makes me want to do things I usually never do.”  What THINGS??? He researches after that. What are these thoughts and physiological reactions? Once he figures it out, he asks for small requests (always asking for your consent first, of course).  “MC. I feel it again. May I pinch your cheeks?” “Can I hug you? Approximately 5 seconds?”  When it gets really bad, he takes out a small journal, (one he bought specifically for these moments), and scribbles notes into them.  When you ask to see it, he hides it immediately.

Ed 

You smile.  He pauses for a few seconds. Then smiles back.  “Now, when was the last time I’ve experienced this?” 

He wants to see that look again and again. Feel that feeling again and again. 

And when he succeeds, he starts saying even more diabolical things.

“You see, when you make that expression, it makes me want to do things I can't quite say out loud.”

Rui

You smile.  He clutches his heart like he’s been shot by cupid.  Like physically staggers back.  “Cutie… you’re literally going to be the death of me some day.”  5 minutes later he closes the shop early. “You're dangerous right now. It’ll be bad if you tempt me too much.” He doesn’t want to risk touching you.

Lyca

You smile.  His ears pop out instantly. His tail wags enthusiastically.  He backs away with a blushed face.  “What is this feeling?”  “What’s wrong, Lyca?”  When you try to reach out, he dodges it immediately.   “G-Get away from me!”  He leaves, treating you like a plague.  “This is why I can’t handle girls,” he mumbles.

Elias

You smile.  He pauses. Then also smiles.  Elias knows exactly what this is.  He leans in slightly. “Inspector, It seems I find you to be very cute. What do you suggest I do about it?”

After that, anytime he feels it, he treats it like a game. 

“You’ve done it again.” 

“Oh. Critical hit.” 

“I’m afraid I may not survive this one.” 

It seems unserious but it’s his way of coping.  

Jo

Jo doesn't panic. Doesn’t overthink. He just accepts it.  You smile.  He pulls you into a nice long hug.  “...So cute,” he whispers, though loud enough for you to hear.  He stays like that for a while. Patting your head, running his fingers through it.

Mio

Buddha Mio has never experienced such spikes in his emotions before.  You smile.  He blinks. Turns around like a robot.  And immediately starts fidgeting with something that doesn't even need fixing.  When you ask him why, he just says, “I–I don’t know. I just felt like I should focus on something else…”  Umm… ok. 

Shion

He's trying to figure out what exactly did he do wrong that provoked a violent response from you, anxiety eating him alive until he hears the sound of your soft snoring. Oh. Nonetheless he double checks everything to make sure you're comfortable before settling back beside you.. - Lucas, Alan, Ritsu, Subaru, Zenji, Rui

Careful now, will you? You might hurt your future kids like this! He's locking your legs with his to prevent further...accidents. - Sho, Haru, Haku

Personally I think he's used to being kicked by younger siblings when they slept..and considering how tired he usually gets, he won't even notice it. he's out cold. - Mio

He makes the most offended face like you just yelled the most vulgar stuff about his bloodline ver. 1. He's kicking you off the bed too! You dare kick him? He'll kick you harder. He might even restrain your legs to the bed now. - Leo, Romeo

Nope! He'll endure it! He won't let you go! You guys are finally sharing a BED! How can he ruin the moment!? He'll happily accept all the attack you throw at him unconsciously and won't even bring it up the next day, even if it is slightly painful. - Kaito

You wake up only to find your legs tied tightly to the bed. The other side of the bed? Cold and Empty. You look around only to find your beloved leaning by the doorway, arms crossed over his chest, suppressing a smirk at you baffled expression while he greets you. "Slept well, dear?" - Tohma, Elias

He finds it interesting. Your body's response without any external stimuli fascinates him. He's going to study your asleep body like another scientific specimen in a lab. - Jiro

Sleep? Do you think he'd let you sleep? Nah, forget it. You're his for tonight. - Taiga(you guys played UNO all night) , Shion

Kaito: "I... I mean, it's nice knowing you."

You: "Are... are you breaking up with me?"

Kaito: "NO."

Somehow it'd sound more like a breakup than a proposal. He might even sleep talk and accidentally tell you the night before. He'd spend the whole date staring at you awkwardly while practically going nonverbal, and you'd just kind of piece everything together.

𝐄𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝

Ed's proposal might start with "I have a confession" which immediately makes you think it's something terrible, so you prob answer with "I don't want to hear it" or something along those lines.

You: "You killed someone?"

Ed: "...No?" (really?)

You: "You're terminally ill?"

Ed: "...No." (yes, he is ill, just not in human sense)

You: "You committed tax fraud?"

Ed: "..." (he doesn't pay anything, bro has no job)

𝐑𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐮

Ritsu's proposal would be at some fancy restaurant, but it'd all be according to your preferences. Then he'd pull out a stack of papers.

"Are you ready to be promoted?" Alongside the ring.

Ritsu: "This stack is for when you decline. This stack is for when you accept."

You: "...What's the third stack?"

Ritsu: "Appeal process."

You: "..."

𝐉𝐢𝐫𝐨

Jiro's very blunt, so I can imagine it'd be the first time in his life he remembers what being nervous feels like.

Jiro: "Please take this before I drop it."

He hands you the ring and once you say yes, he immediately has an asthma attack. He's just TOO happy you accepted it.

You: "Should I call Yuri???!!!"

Jiro: thumbs up

𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐮

Haru wears dress shoes on a hike... then suddenly tells you to hold his hand and Peekaboo's hand as if it's some type of praying ritual. 

Haru: "Hold my hand."

Haru: "Now hold Peekaboo's hand too."

You: "...Are we summoning something?"

Haru: "Hopefully Peekaboo's mama."

Haru: "It's time." pulling out the ring

𝐘𝐮𝐫𝐢

Yuri gets nervous as hell and asks for your full name again because he wants to make sure he got your middle name right. Even geniuses get forgetful when they're nervous. Also, I feel like he'd buy you a bouquet, so if you accidentally saw it beforehand and asked him about it, he'd immediately yell,

"I FOUND IT ON THE STREET. THOUGHT IT LOOKED COOL." (It was supposed to be for the proposal)

You: "Wrapped? With a receipt?"

Yuri: "... It was a very organized street."

𝐋𝐲𝐜𝐚

Lyca gets down on one knee and immediately says. "I forgot the whole speech."

He had Rui and Subaru help him write it, but you know Lyca. He'd end up blurting out whatever came to mind and just be very honest instead.

𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐚

You go on the exact same date with Taiga two weeks in a row because he forgot the ring the first time. Spare my man. He's just a little forgetful.

Also, I feel like Taiga's the type to wonder why you two haven't started planning the wedding yet. The man forgot he hasn't proposed.

𝐑𝐞𝐧

You tell Ren you don't have to go on the date because his stomach's bothering him. He's so nervous he's practically digesting himself.

But he'd immediately go. "NO, WE HAVE TO GO!"

He also seems like the type who'd get nauseous, throw up, then tell you. "The breakfast wasn't sitting right, that's all." (You two haven't even had breakfast yet)

𝐑𝐮𝐢

Rui: "How did you know I was gonna propose to you?"

You: "You asked if I wanted to visit the park with you in October." (It was July.)

Rui: "Oh."

𝐋𝐞𝐨

Leo: "Well, we get along pretty well, don't we?" Said with the most sarcastic tone imaginable (this little sht)

Then he'd hit you with. "I don't wanna be your boyfriend anymore."

You'd probably just walk ahead like. "Alright, man. Hope you find happiness."

Only for everyone around you to start screaming. "TURN AROUND!"

He was already down on one knee.

"God, you're such an idiot. Can't imagine spending my life with you."

Might be what he says after you're way too smug that he's the one proposing first.

𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐮

Subaru walks you through the most ethereal garden you've ever seen for your date, but he's so nervous he accidentally blurts out "My wife" on the way there. The man never mentally recovered from that moment 😔

𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐬

If Lucas could, he'd take you to the UK, especially to visit all those old castle buildings in Ireland. Imagine you're busy recording the scenery while he's standing stiffly in the corner, facing the wall like he's possessed by demon in one of those abandoned haunted building exploration movies. He was just trying to get the ring out of his pocket.

𝐌𝐢𝐨

Mio's supposed to say. "Can I ask you a question?"

But instead blurts out. "Can I give you a quest?"

You: "EXP reward?"

Mio: "... Shared taxes."

A very responsible, duty-filled quest indeed. A lifelong quest.

He was nervous, okay?

𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨

Romeo takes you out on a date but can't keep his hands to himself. I can totally picture him holding your hand and absentmindedly rubbing your ring finger. Then "I Think I Wanna Marry You" randomly starts playing somewhere and the man absolutely panics wanting to stop the music.

Romeo: "WHO PUT THIS SONG ON?"

𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐚

You somehow make yourself late for the proposal because you and Towa went to the zoo. You refused to leave before petting both the mini pig and the deer because they were in the same area. Towa approved the idea also.

The proposal was still successful that day though. The wingmen, Kaito, Haru and Ren, were way more nervous and worry than Towa himself.

𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐨𝐧

Shion doesn't say a single word the entire day. Then he gets down on both knees because he forgot it was only supposed to be one (Jo and Mio literally told him).

Shion: "Give me your marriage finger."

You: "..."

Shion: "The left one."

You: "..."

Sorry let me be serious. He's actually incredibly nervous. If you say yes, he'd close the ring box and hand it to you with the ring still inside.

𝐇𝐚𝐤𝐮

Haku takes you on a date and casually asks. "Are you having a good time?"

If you say yes, he'd pull out the ring and ask. "Do you want to keep having a good time?"

You: "...Is this a subscription service?"

Haku: "Lifetime plan."

It might sound cocky, but trust me, the man was nervous the entire date. He tried to stay casual because he didn't want to freak you out.

𝐉𝐢𝐧

Jin somehow becomes even quieter than usual, to the point where you start wondering if he's lost interest or something.

Nope. He's just nervous like everyone else.

Also, if he took you somewhere with animals, or proposed during a holiday like Christmas, knowing Jin enjoyers tend to get distracted...

Jin: "Will you stop watching those penguins?

You: "Look at that tiny one."

Jin: "I'm trying to ask you to marry me here."

You: "But he's carrying a pebble."

Jin: "..."

𝐓𝐨𝐡𝐦𝐚

Tohma... I don't know, I just want to torture this man a little.

Imagine he takes you somewhere nice, then you see another couple getting engaged and casually say. "Who would propose here?"

Sitting there with that usual calm smile. But inside he's sweating his ass off. Trust me.

The man immediately scraps every single plan, rearranges the entire schedule, and proposes somewhere completely different the next day.

𝐙𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐢

Zenji would probably get down on one knee and start sobbing after reading you a proposal poem. Then you'd start sobbing too, and he'd quietly slip the ring onto your finger. There wouldn't be much conversation... Soulmates don't need that anyway. 

𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧

Alan feels like the type to take you on a three day camping or hiking trip. He barely eats during the first couple of days because he's nervous as hell. Then after you say yes, he immediately demolishes all the leftover food.

His smartwatch (you gave him that for his birthday) also keeps warning him that his heart rate's too high and he needs to calm the fck down. He'd just takes it off.

"I wouldn't know how to make spaghetti without you ^^" 

Then he immediately gets down on one knee, taking the ring out. Elias, you're not slick. Man cooks all the meal you two have also.

Sho would be very straightforward but still thoughtful. I think he'd still get nervous though. He wouldn't be able to decide which knee to kneel on, so he'd keep switching between them like he's doing lunges.

You: "…Are you proposing or stretching?"

His legs are so long too... You can already imagine how that scene would play out XD

I think he'd be nervous as hell too, just not as badly as everyone else because Jo actually knows what he's's doing.

Knowing you'd want your nails done beforehand, she'd offer to do them before the date. Except she was so nervous she only painted your left hand 🙏
