Almost five years ago now, my best friend had gone to see a musical I had been quietly contemplating in its last week of running. Unfortunately, I missed out on seeing it before it closed, but once I treated myself to its cast album, I knew for sure it was something special. Big Fish is one of those precious shows that changed everything about the way I look at theatre. It got me hooked on the work of the luminous Kate Baldwin, it served as an avenue for exploring other shows that closed far beyond when they should have, AND it became the show I most wanted to see get released for community theatre. I cannot even begin to fully describe how much joy it brings me that @btco’s production gets to be my first live experience of this special show.
