You guys were all so sweet in my last post about my #thronesweater cardigan! Thank so much for all the love! Some of you wondered how I knit so fast, so I thought I’d give ya an insight to my day to day. If I’m lucky enough to wake up by 5:30 AM, I get about 1 1/2 hours to knit before getting my daughter up for school. Most days, I don’t get to touch my knitting until I get into the studio, and even more common then not, I don’t get to knit until I get back home in the evenings between 5-6....but I always have my knitting with me for those occasional rows I can manage to squeeze in. Lately, our dying process has been longer in between pots, so I’ve been managing to make some much needed headway on samples we are taking to NY Sheep and Wool. From around May through October, I normally am knitting samples for any events we have coming up. I am the only one who knits our samples, with the exception of the occasional super generous help from @dankfiber. When I get home in the evenings, the knitting comes out and sits on my counter while I prepare dinner for my family. After dinner, I check that my daughter has done her homework, and it’s back to the needles. Bedtime is typically done by my husband, but there’s always that one or two nights out of the week that we all end up in our bed, snuggling, I knit, and my daughter falls asleep, and normally my husband does too, until I wake them both up around 10 and we tuck the kiddo into bed. Usually you will find me in front of the TV, or with my headphones on listening to an audio book or meditation tracks (which I find help me knit faster) until around 12:30-1 AM. Then I get up and do it all over again the next day. My knitting is my lifeline and I take it everywhere.
