I would submit this normally but having tried that it won't let me submit more than one image and I would rather not spam this with submissions.

Wasn't originally going to draw Thornwhip again but why not give her a glow-up, considering the last drawing I did of her for Artfight was on my phone instead of my usual setup.

Although you said that everyone bar Technoblade and Witherbrand had an axe I thought it would be funny to give Flamelance an actual lance, also to avoid them looking too similar opted for a more desaturated colour scheme for 'Wither'brand and a fiery colour for 'Flame'lance.

Also thank you for the quick little doodles, they helped quite a lot. I'll most likely keep up with drawing these little characters as they're good practice for the concept art side of my classes and a good warm up too.

I can not express how giddy this makes me!! I love your style!! I particularly love that you gave them all different shades of fur, I would not have thought of that and it looks so good~

Flamelance's bone lance looks awesome and is definitely canon now (I must have misspoken in the last post: everyone used to main axes, when I did the og lineup, but we fixed that by giving Thunderbite a mace, Technoblade a greatsword, and Nightbane a longsword... it just didn't come up) and you did really well with his armor, it's so shiny!

So fun fact I drew a lineup of all the advisors forever ago, before noble's court, but it was scrapped because I was struggling to get them all to look distinct: I really struggle with drawing armor and it didn't help that at the time everyone's primary weapon was axe (except Witherbrand and Technoblade).

Anyways, here's Witherbrand and Thornwhip from that, since they look... passable? Although for those interested, a significantly better Thornwhip exists here

Anyways, yes Witherbrand is the shortest of the council, and also the only one to wear chainmail (under his tunic). He has a ponytail.

Flamelance has a bun, to match his husband's. It isn't clear without coloring, but his armor is mostly gold. He doesn't have any leathers because he utalizes strength over dexterity, and he doesn't have much iron because there haven't been any recent raids aka supplies for his special iron armor for advisors. He should have battle scars, which I tried to put on his arms, but they didn't look right, so... have fun playing with that, if you want ^-^

Why did thornwhip not try to become king herself? Was she too young and inexperienced to try?

is fair trade between distant rural piglin villages and humans more likely because those piglins have even less resources and not enough people to raid? Maybe like Technoblade’s original home village?

Thornwhip’s backstory is going to be talked about in-fic soon (plus I plan to write a full analysis of her and the other advisors, so be looking forward to that) but as a sneak peek, yes and no. It’s not that she couldn’t try, it’s that she wouldn’t, because she knew, realistically, she wasn’t skilled enough to beat king Ashthorn. She knew that challenging him would have just made her dead, and that wouldn’t help anyone.

As for trade, generally no, unfortunately all piglins have such a bad rep (as the majority will raid you) that even those who aren’t here to raid you, humans assume they are. Any number of piglins in the Overworld can only mean bad news, and humans can be understandably territorial, and it doesn’t help that there’s a major language barrier preventing either side from explaining otherwise. But any rule can have a few rare exceptions… and sometimes a foolish human might venture into the nether, creating a rare opportunity.

When the capital does raids, the resources go to the people. Technoblade is a good king, and makes sure even the furthest villages get their share, one way or another.

Thornwhip

I love finally getting to create a solid design for my HTTYD species called Demon Eaters. They earned their names from old tales of dragons who ate demons to gain their powers. They're known to petrify anyone just by looking at them. Next I'll be working on what her saddle would look like and a size comparison. I love how she turned out.
