The bloody mary ship is fine, I see why people ship it but. I have a problem with it. People almost only mention simon to talk about bloody Mary. Also, often I've seen people mischaracterize Simon into an overly violent asshole.. he isnt ??? He was just scared?? People act like he needs to be tamed, which he doesn't. Every time he lashes out, he apologizes / shows guilt over. People need to separate them for a while and look at them alone on a deeper level, I think.

i honestly dgaf if i loose followers for saying this but a lot of yall are very very weird and this is exposing that. hozier is not some perfect man and he can have flaws. some of the screenshots might’ve been faked, yes, but hana follows accounts that align with those beliefs. and yes, you can be disappointed in ur fav, especially when their partner is not a good person. i think its also very telling that when taylor swift was dating matty healy, she was viewed as a racist bitch who shared his views, but when it comes to a man dating a not so great woman, its excused and hes actually flawless and perfect. (im not defending taylor dating matty healy im just using it as an example.) hes 35, he has critical thinking and it is extremely disappointing that this is the company he keeps around.

i wish it had been morty prime who called the time police on evil morty in There's Something About Morty instead of rick.
i really like thinking about how the very first Canon episode, despite how strong of a rick presence there is, is at its core just between morty prime & evil morty. their places in the multiverse are immediately introduced as kind of opposite figures. theyre both powerful and strong and, and more importantly, able to be so independently without needing to stand behind a rick. but while evil morty achieves this by becoming a rick (both metaphorically and also by Literally using mind control to acting as a rick) and learning to be apathetic, morty does this by being himself and using his empathy as a strength.
i think rick making the call was a bit anticlimactic compared to what it couldve been. it wouldve made perfect sense to have morty do it. the method of winning was literally calling for help! whats more mortyish on the rick/morty scale than being comfortable asking for help when you need it, especially from a group who you've had beef with in the past. i think it wouldve been so much more fitting and satisfying if, just like their first battle, evil morty was bested by the morty he looks down on the most for the traits he looks down on him the most for. for evil morty to be forced to acknowledge that as low as he views other mortys for being mortys, he is still again and again defeated by the mortyest morty.
especially because, to me, this episode was about the mortys. rick was there to be a figure to fight over and progress the plot but the central conflict was between the morties. rick was just there. it feels a bit unsatisfying for the ending to just be rick winning because hes smart when i feel like the episode ultimately wasnt really about him.

EDIT: I did not think this was going to get any traction which in hindsight was kinda stupid of me but I really want to clarify something since I originally left it in the tags which I probably shouldn't have. THIS ISNT A HIT PEICE. I've been a fanfic writer for years now even if this blog isn't exactly a great example of my supposed stellar writing consistency. I mean no hate towards the people who like age gap or write it it just isn't my thing personally and I would like to read fics that explore other topics besides that when it comes to this fandom. Yes I understand the easy solution is to write my own and i would be a liar to say I wasn't but I'm new to this fandom and still consuming the actual content and I know my drafts aren't exactly great right now in part because of that. What I wanted to accomplish here wasn't just to complain a little but to reach out and ask if anyone could point me in the direction of non age gap fics in the mean time and they did so thank you very much!! I genuinely appreciate it. Write what you like but understand that I also reserve the right to read what I like and to ask for help in finding it because let's be honest tumblrs search and filter system is non existent and asking for help was my next best bet so uh yeah I'm gonna stop rambling now and refine this maybe when I'm more awake and can word things better probably.

There seems to be this weird bias about batfam characters being able to beat characters they really shouldnt be able too.
