Hey all, Looking to get my timing right - which we all know is practically impossible in the Torchwood universe, but Iām still trying. Until Big Finish started releasing Torchwood One stories, canon had Ianto starting at TW London sometime in 2005. This is based mostly on Fragments.
I know One Rule has him as Yvonneās PA in March, 2005, but when is Blind Summit set? Does Blind Summit have him at TW London earlier than 2005?Ā If he was born in 1983, when might he have graduated from university? Iām in the US and graduated at age 21, so around 2004? One of the novels tells us his degree, but I just searched through all my ebooks and couldnāt find it! Does anyone know where itās mentioned? And does Blind Summit contradict this? I hope GDL let him keep his degree! EDIT: I found it! I remembered it had to do with Literature and finally found it in Skypoint:

If he started at TW earlier and didnāt go to university, do I go with the earlier EU canon and let him go to college and start at TW sometime in 2005, or go with the new Big Finish timeline? Seems to me more people are familiar with BF now.
Sometimes itās tricky writing Ianto because he really is quite young and inexperienced. So Iām just looking for an approximate timeline to follow. The big one is knowing when he joined TW London - 2005 or earlier??
