Traveling however near or far remains a constant source of inspiration for me. From the moment I received this couples brief I was pulled back to the old world quarters of Al Bastakiya. Often described as the maze of old world wanders, here the narrow tunnels and path ways lead you through the quaint neighbourhood that was once inhabited by persian textile and pearl merchants. Today the tunnels lead you to unparalleled world of galleries, a coffee museum, cafes and a small boutique hotel. / /. • W H O L E S O M E • / /. I’ve been anxiously waiting for right time to share this incredible collaboration with you. Every time I look at these images, I get a bit weak in the knees, why you ask because possibilities are endless. Each project initially always begins with three questions. 1. what is the essence of the brand, 2. what do they want to achieve and 3. where are they going? Often before we even meet the client we investigate these options, researching and trying to pinpoint answers. It is with great understanding of these foundational questions that I’m allowed to illustrate a dialogue through medium of creative direction and translate the clients thoughts to the customer. In the case of @fruitlips_za it remains a open dialogue, growing strength from strength and altering that medium as the brands needs change. Having time to ponder and discuss the bones of a brand with all collaborators involved is essential to the process. @edo.photography created the perfect fit behind the lens, having worked with brand since the beginning, his understanding of new vision for the brand was pivotal in the process.
