The Land Jellyfish
The idea of a jellyfish exploring beyond its boundaries. Exploring the lands from its grown land-limbs.
My art piece is made out of grocery trash bags held together by tape and a ponytail. It is meant to resemble a jellyfish with the top part of the piece being the body of the jellyfish, the mid section is the part of a jellyfish that connects to the body, and the longer pieces hanging from the shoulder piece resemble the arms and the tentacles of the jellyfish.
Materials Used: plastic grocery bags, tape, hair tie

The Land Jellyfish
Taking a bunch of plastics bags and taping them together. I made sure to make the top part of the jellyfish using the white bags to resemble the brighter body of the jellyfish. While making the middle part using the brown bags to resemble the darker parts of the jellyfish. I used the most transparent and opaque bags as the tentacles and arms.

Things That Perform - Process
Finding materials that would work for my ghost costume/self portrait was quite simple once I started looking around my house. I was first going to settle for combining two cut up pillow sheets to throw over my head but it wouldn’t have been long enough for my liking. I ended up finding a dress which worked perfectly for my design. Once I had tried it on it was then time for me to pick a design to go on the front side. I used my cartoon persona as a reference but had to cut back on the details in order to fit the ghost theme I was going for.
All the items I used include: an old dress, pillowcases, a sock, scissors, and a glue gun.
