I don’t mean to go off about Luke because he had a lot on his plate but going by both the movies and TROKR #3, he was just? An absolutely abysmal mentor to anyone who was not a 100% exemplary future Jedi? A student went to him with the (very valid) concern that despite her hard work, she didn’t feel she could measure up to her classmate and he essentially told her “that’s stupid and not how the Force works, you’re all doing great and if you’re jealous you can’t be a real Jedi” and ended it at that and somehow hoped that none of this would come back to haunt anyone despite leaving (at least) two alarmingly overpowered 13-year-olds in the fiery clutches of puberty to fend for themselves and potentially start resenting one another, even though they both obviously needed more guidance than anyone else in the temple. It’s no wonder he tried to chase Rey off the island the moment she stepped out of line - he never knew how to handle the ones like her to begin with.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- I volunteer to teach Sander and Milan to play Pandemic, it’s not that hard. And as someone who’s played it a lot, I have no fucking clue what was happening, besides they were losing for sure.
