Monday comes quicker than expected, and Harper finds herself in the art classroom, reviewing her project plans. The teacher has assigned her a new project, and she’s using the time between classes to work on it.

Truth be told, Harper is hiding. With Queenie’s newfound popularity, she’s suddenly the center of attention. While Queenie seems to revel in the spotlight, Harper finds it overwhelming. She just wants to concentrate on her studies without the constant interruptions.

But someone has other plans.

“Are you hiding, Red?” Alden’s voice carries a teasing edge with that signature smirk Harper’s come to expect.

She lets out an exaggerated sigh, her eyes narrowing as she glances over at him. “Not very well, apparently,” she mutters.

“You know, if you really wanted to go unnoticed, maybe try not looking so suspicious. You’re practically begging to be found.”

“I’m not hiding. I’m… working. There’s a difference.” She gestures toward the papers and sketches spread across the table, trying to look busy.

“Sure, you are. Is that what we’re calling avoiding Queenie these days?”

Harper glances up. “How do you—”

“C’mon, it’s written all over your face. Queenie’s newfound popularity thing got you running for cover, huh?”

“Everyone wants to talk to me now, thanks to Queenie. It’s like I can’t get five minutes to myself to focus on anything.”

“I get it. You’re too busy being the ‘responsible one,’ right? Always the good student, always the planner.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“It means you’re always in your head. Maybe you should let loose a little. High school isn’t just about surviving, you know.”

“I’m not just trying to survive. I’m trying to make it out of here with decent grades, maybe even get into a good college”.

Alden chuckles, clearly amused by her intensity. “Right, because the only way to succeed is to never take a break, never have fun.”

Harper folds her arms, glaring at him. “Is there a point to this, or are you just here to annoy me?”

Alden leans forward, resting his elbows on the table, his voice dropping to a low, teasing tone. “Maybe I’m here to remind you that life’s more than just work. And maybe you could use a little distraction.”

“And I guess you’re the distraction?”

“Could be.”

She rolls her eyes, trying to focus on her project. “The answer is no, Alden.”

“You say that now, but let’s be real, Red. Sooner or later, you’re going to crack.”

Harper glances at him. “Fine. You want a yes so bad? You’ve got it. One date. That’s it. No more nagging.”

He blinks in surprise, clearly not expecting her to give in. But his shock quickly fades, replaced with a triumphant grin. “I knew you’d come around. How’s Friday night?”

She sighs, already regretting her decision. “Yeah, yeah. Friday. Now leave me alone so I can get back to work.”

Alden chuckles. “See you then, Red. You won’t regret it.”

Theodora met her date with butterflies in her stomach. Kaori was gorgeous and Teddy felt she was reaching too far for going on this date. Kaori felt the same way about Teddy and had to drag her down the street laughing. 

The girls were as awkward as each other which made this date start off better than her time with Kiyoshi.The girls explored the street until they both saw the place they wanted to sit and chill out for abit or longer depending how their date was going to go for them.
