Valkyrie and her reflection

Drawing I made a few months ago, but in the process of slowly posting here some of my old art I thought I might upload it here!

This is a drawing of the reflection when she only starts to act... Strange.

The cracks in the mirror come from her chest, where I assumed she was shot (in the second book by skul)

Tbh, I've never really liked the reflection's arc in the books :'). In the crossover fanfic I'm making with my sister, we plan to change her arc and have her discover and develop her own personality, completely different from Valkyrie's :D

Wouldn't it be funny if it had gone out with it's group of girlfriends to all get their ears pierced together, and then... didn't tell Valkyrie? Valkyrie doesn't notice? So the next time she 'resets' the reflection- has it go back into the mirror, absorbs it's memories and lets it back out again-

It just. Goes to school with unpierced ears again.

"We have lost too much. Our past, and our sense of self, and our family, and so much more." It chokes on what sounds like a sob. "We can never go back. Why do you insist on...?"

The amalgamy that makes up the whole of them considers this, pained at its suffering and its incomprehension. "We're not trying to go back to being who we were. We're just trying to live, however we can."

"But it'll never be the same." It pleads, voice reedy with desperation. "I can't be anything else, because if I am then I will lose who I was, and that has already been taken from me. You can't– please, don't take it from me too–"
