i just realized that if you threw in quirk ghosts to preexisting aus it can get extremely chaotic. in that dfo mirio au if they switch things up for training, X gets a pretty standard nightmare interrupted by kirishima yelling, giving them hugs and then it gets weirdly deep. there's just. copies of their classmates stuck in their brains now. "iida what are you doing in my parents' kitchen" "i. i don't know??"/"i had a dream and you were there but i couldnt talk so we just stared at each other"

I mean, for one thing, Mirio nearly perpetually has a Chisaki ghost with him, which is not super fun, but on the other hand all of the students (1a minus izuku plus whoever else they work with... probably shinsou, tamaki, nejire.) are getting ghost versions of each other chilling in their mind, collecting as they train more and more with each other. And that chaotic wholesomeness, i think, is worth the price of a bit of Chisaki haunting, sorry Mirio.
And then there’s excuse for Izuku, that he can’t swap with others because his reacts weird and sometimes he gets extra ones, and that just gets weirder with ghosts because the others lowkey want an izu ghost/don’t want him to feel left out of their Weird Ghost Dreams but he’s just sitting there sweating because he does have his own Weird Ghost Dreams they’re just with long dead adults and he cant let the class find out about them kjhghj
this is the strongest urge i’ve had yet for a sequel for this one oh boy
