My most recent conclusion fibre craft ( knitting, crochet, lace making etc) is just yarn shibari.
Also there’s numerous ways to hold yarn because tension is the core of any fibre/textile. And you’ll end up changing it frequency because you’re sitting differently, or your hands are dry/moist because of humidity or your tired/wired or I don’t know it’s Tuesday?
Are you tense? Not tense enough? Too much tension due to friction, not enough friction causing slipage. So tight your hand hurts, not tight enough and you keep dropping stitches.
Keep good posture, sit upright back straight, shoulders relaxed only not that relaxed your elbows should be tucked in at your sides, with hands close, centre front of body. No not that close, what do you mean you can’t actually see what you’re doing from that far away? Or that you end up twisting as you work your way across, like some sort of car racing game?
Try to keep good posture, stretch and take breaks only now your shoulder hurts instead of your hands, not the right one though, the left one you’re not doing anything with.
The human body is the equivalent of sidewalk crack dandelions and it knows it.
Crafters do you design your own patterns?

Modified my Logan plush to make it more true-to-model. 🥳 The plush out of the box:

Sam keeps returning to Bag End with ripped trousers and loose threads, Frodo starts to suspect these clothing mishaps aren't accidents.

Some of the Motankas I've made for family members. They're traditional Ukrainian dolls made as talismans of protection, hope, prosperity, etc. These are all made out of thrift materials without sewing
Sorry for the terrible pic quality and low light but after 16 months (including twelve during which I didn't touch it), my first embroidery project is finally finished!
a fibercrafts discord server: funky fibercrafts!
i know fibercrafts should technically be written fibrecrafts but that makes no sense
funky fibercrafts is a server about any and all textile crafts! we've got yarn crafts, we've got fabric crafts, we've got an "other" category, whatever your heart desires! (these categories all have more specific channels as well for the common crafts!)
if you need help we've got helper roles you can ping, as well as a forum channel especially for asking for help (and also for giving tips without a question being asked), which is neat because it allows specific questions to get a lot of attention while also leaving the craft channels open for casual chatting!
we've also got a verification system to keep everyone safe, so if you join the server and see nought but one channel, that's how things should be, your discord isn't broken, just follow the instructions and you'll be verified!
besides those helper roles there's also a bunch of other roles, like pronoun roles, age range roles, dm boundary roles and ofc craft interest roles
link below the cut in case it breaks :)
