You can hate on these guys all you want but you can't deny they're having a fucking blast singing about terrorsquids and Chthonic lairs and making goofy-as-hell music videos. If you're really gonna put your energy into mocking these people, you straight up don't get it & you're probably just jealous you didn't think of pirate metal first. Someone should tell the drummer to take off his stupid beanie (pirates do not wear beanies) but besides that I have absolutely no problem with this video. Especially when shit gets real at around 4:30. At one point they talk about how these pirates have defeated both vikings and ninjas & that got me thinking about how there's no ninja metal (that I know of) and wondering what ninja metal would sound like. Anyway I think the existence of this band makes the world a brighter place. I mean, jesus, the way they pose with the squid at the end? Alestorm has got shit all figured out.
