I made my very first margarita tonight with Esplolòn tequila, triple sec, a lime, a sugar cube and some salt. It’s really great! Will be repeating this! I also stopped by the goodwill and got a couple of coupe glasses which I think are really fun. 😁

Rosey drink and vodka tomato pasta
A only slightly questionable pale pink drink. .25oz Campari, .5oz Carpano Antica sweet vermouth, 1.5oz tequila blanco, muddled basil, splash of heavy cream. Shaken. Topped with (flat) ginger ale and some rose petals. Heavy cream slightly unpleasant and too much ginger ale (using up leftovers).
Tomato vodka pasta. Cook pasta, reserve cooking liquid. Saute onions, garlic, mushrooms, red chili flakes in butter. Toast a little tomato paste. Add cream and pasta water and simmer with hardier vegetables (carrots, asparagus stems) to consistency desired. Simmer vodka and soft vegetables (asparagus tips) to desired consistency. Mix in pasta. Garnish basil, black pepper. Sprinkle salt somewhere if necessary. Add more tomatoes between tomato paste and cream simmering as needed. Use butter or oil or water interchangeably.
