For TMI: What is the most morally questionable...
How did she as an ex-slave justify participating in trafficking and slavery? Did she feel guilty about it?
Not really. Tena was always a big fish in a small pond. She decided that she would try to rise above her station. She did. So in her belief, if you’re still a slave, well, sucks to be you, but you can try to change it. Some of the people who fought back against her with ferocity found a new place among her people.
In that regard, she is quite similar to my Sith Inquisitor, Kalless. Both born as slaves, both not satisfied, both rose through their own strength and both view people who let themselves be enslaved with utter contempt.
For her, it’s very simple: If you’re strong and/or cunning enough, you needn’t be a slave. But you gotta to have the will to change your lot. Otherwise you fucking deserve it.
For TMI: What is the most morally questionable thing Ten’atar has done?
Tena never led a very moral life in the first place. Being the slave of a brutal crime lord can have that effect on you. However, she spiralled down from there.
It got somewhat toned down after she settled down at Sky Palace, but I would think the most morally questionable, or rather downright evil, time would be when she rose to leadership among the Bloodscream Raiders. Given that she had to be especially brutal and cunning to survive and thrive in such an enviroment, it’s hard to pick one single action from the time.
I mean, becoming and staying an exec in a pirate group known for leaving no survivors and torturing their victims certainly qualifies as murder. In that time, she did pretty much everything from assault over murder and trafficking to slavery.
