The Unsolvable riddle (trap idea)
Here’s one for you DM’s that want confusing riddle
The players are making their way through a dungeon & are approached by a person who is blocking the entrance to the next room. That person will then ask the part a question that has no answer. If the party attempts to correctly answer the question, a sword will fall from the sealing to hit who ever tried to answer.
To get past the riddle person, the party has to do one of these things. Give up solving the riddle, declare that the question is stupid/wrong, beat the crap out of the riddle teller, or tell the riddle teller that there is no answer.
