The woman's body was crumpled on the floor, face down with her hands clutching her middle. "M-my.... Lady.... H-he's- here..." The maid's eyes dulled as she let out a gurgle.

"Ah. Sister. There you are. I see you've found the maid." Allistair looked down at his older sister through the doorway. The sound of her brother's voice made her look up.

"Teddy!! What are you doing?! Go get help! She's pale as a sheet!!" She exclaimed, trying to find out what made the poor woman collapse.

"I'm looking for you, obviously. Where else would I be? I was trying to get to you faster, but the woman was in my way. I never did like her." He said, ripping the knife out of the older woman's back and tossing it to the other side of the room.

Azaelea's hands trembled as she saw crimson pooling underneath Helene's middle. Why was he just standing there?! "W-what?! Teddy this isn't funny!! Go call for a doctor! She's been stabbed!!!"

The brother stepped over the body with an unbothered expression. He really couldn't care any less about the silly maid who had tried so valiantly to save his sister. He supposed he was somewhat impressed by her boldness. Most in the manor don't question the things he does. But Helene was smart. And that's why she's dead. He thought with a chuckle.

"Now, now, no need for that, sister. You've been gone all these years. The least you could do is spend some time with your darling younger brother. Just like we used to."

The girl paled when she looked him in the eye. This wasn't the boy she'd grown up with. Azaelea didn't want to believe it.

Little Teddy wasn't so little anymore.

"ALLISTAIR WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!"

"Calm yourself, sister. You'll worry yourself into a tizzy and we can't have that. What will the guests think?" He tutted with a tilt of his head. She ran for the door but in the blink of an eye, Allistair was already there with a firm grip on the handle, looking at her with concerned eyes.

"I think we should get you calmed down for a nap, don't you think? All this stress about moving and tiresome balls would run anyone ragged. And I can't have my sister like that..."

Her eyes landed on the soaked rag in her brother's hand and she backed away. "Teddy!? Teddy! Put that thing down!!!" His sister backed away from him, noting the calm look on his face.

"Allistair!!! DON'T COME NEAR ME WITH THAT THING-" she screamed throwing her mirror at him.

Teddy paused, looking at Azaelea with a confused but stern look. "Sister, dearest, you're having a meltdown. See? All this moving business and running about has got you frazzled. Look at you, throwing things like a child." She gawked at her younger brother before screaming. "You're MAD! You've lost all sense you bloody psychopath!"

Teddy, at her side in an instant, gripped her arm and held it tight. "You're being fussy. You never were yourself when you got upset. Not to worry. Let me take care of you." With a burst of strength, he held his sister from behind, her back against his chest as he forced the rag to her face.
