Transdermals -- Not just for horns!
Today I am going to highlight some other options for transdermal implants, besides just your standard horns.
I have previously made a post about using your transdermals for antennae and horns, but these are far from the only options!
This here is Samppa von Cyborg, my mod artist. He is one of the most well known body modification artists in the world! And frankly, one of the most knowledgeable and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to mod my body.
Quick Overview: He designed his own transdermal implants based on research from the medical community for use on prosthetics. Doctors found that the best way to make these implants were to design them after the structure of horn and antlers that grow from animals. You can read more about it here! It’s fascinating.
Anyway, though I’m pretty sure he identifies as a human, Samppa is very much a cyborg! (It’s in his name, after all!) Here is a wonderful image of his metal mohawk, featuring attachments that give him a very cyborg-like look, and even attaching to his kickass-looking eye piece!
When it comes to kin-affirming body modification, there is so much that can be done with mods that you might not have thought of before. Even though robotkin and cyborgkin and the like are not common (that I’ve seen), but there are body mods out there for you!
In fact, if there are any out there who would like some ideas on how to become actual cyborgs, or are technology-leaning in general, feel free to shoot me an ask because I have some ideas for you!
