TECHNO IS GOOD AT ROLEPLAY PEOPLE ARE JUST MEAN!!

Like, Techno was very in character and it was obvious going in he knew it was going to be a trap. Like, he gave his “Will” to Phil with the instructions of reading it later and following the instructions. During his interactions with Quackity he was obviously not fully trusting him. Like the “glad we could put our differences behind us” or along those lines while they were talking.

Then Phil telling him nothing good happens at the Prison and him being like “I still gotta.” The whole time he was going in and reading the instructions and everytime he was like “I love authority.” It was a joke to him, he knew going in the likelihood of him coming out was low or at least the corruption of the Prison was high.

He very likely went in to the Prison with the expectation he wouldn’t be walking out.

And its a strangely specific way of summoning a god, especially with how important they seem to be to other character’s like c!Foolish. DreamXD described themself as “the protector” when differentiating themself from c!Dream, and while it seemed like they were protecting the end because they first came to destroy the end portal, I don’t think that’s what they meant. 

Since DreamXD is summoned by people trying to revive living people, I think DreamXD is more in charge of protecting limbo. c!Drista was called the devil, and with c!Foolish being a totem of undying/death, it seems like gods have ties to the afterlife in some way or another, so DreamXD being summoned by cheating revivals and being protective over a place called “The End” would make sense.

But them being summoned specifically by people trying to revive already living people with the idea of cloning seems weird, especially since c!Techno made a point to say that them and c!Dream looked exactly the same, and joked that c!Dream cloned himself instead.

c!Dream also knows nothing about DreamXD, so he’s not someone who likes the god and chooses to look like them, and judging by DreamXD getting upset when c!George calls them c!Dream, it’s the same for DreamXD, too. They’re not dressing like each other on purpose, one doesn’t even know the other. 

My idea? I like to think that c!Dream is DreamXD’s clone. That DreamXD once tried reviving themself and ended up making a clone, probably how they became a god in the first place, and they try not to let anything like that happen to others. Might also explain the Dreamon Hunters a bit. c!Tubbo called DreamXD the dreamon, but it might have been DreamXD just trying to fuse back together with their clone, probably why they were upset at them at the end.
