Being original is harder than it seems

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how difficult it is to be original, or rather, how difficult it is to stay original.
Not just choosing an uncommon aesthetic, but sustaining it without letting it dilute, without it slowly turning into a mix of things that already exist.
For example, choosing something like techno nihilism.
It sounds good in theory, but in practice there aren’t enough resources.
There aren’t enough visual references. There aren’t enough blogs. There aren’t enough resources that don’t eventually pull you into a different aesthetic.
And without realizing it, you start drifting away.

Sometimes it feel like trying to be original isn't about creating something new, but about resisting long enougth to not give up
Should i change my asthetic to something more accessible, or should i keep it and look for solutions?
