Canmore brought some serious heat!
I dunno if this is old man yells at clouds of me, maybe
But I was born in 1996, I grew up with a Dreamcast, N64, Gameboy, PS1, GameCube, and the DS. I grew up with phones like old Nokia, then the sliding ones like Samsung did, then the first iteration of smart phones. I went from nothing, to MP3's, to iPod's, to phones being for music. I went from snake, to a beer drinking simulator, to full blown RPG games being playable on your phone. I went from Clash of The Titans (1981), to Jurassic Park, to Shark Tale, to Avengers
Like, in my time technology and media changed so much, and the thing is, I didn't even get the full scope of it being born early into it, like I didn't get the jump from 6-bit, to 8-bit, to 3D. But I still got to see and experience these huge shifts, I got to see these things be created and how they started out, I witnessed how different games and gaming consoles are. Like, I experienced the fucking wild rush that was the PS1, to PS2, to PS3, and still to this day, I am blown away by game mechanics or how games look, as I think back to my early gaming days and see how world's apart they are
That got me thinking though, kids today, they just aren't getting that. Like the jump in gaming consoles has slowed down for years, games barely change, all phones are virtually the same, movies barely change. Like if just kinda makes me sad in a way that kids aren't getting these mind blowing experiences, or that they won't get to appreciate in the same way how things are nowadays, since it's been a steady constant in their lives. It's great society is progressing and moving, and that things are so wild now, but I wish kids got to have the experience I grew up with
Sometimes I'll see my brother or younger people do stuff, and they say/do things so mindlessly as for them it's always been a permanent fixture in their lives, yet I just always have these memories. I know I keep referencing gaming, but my brother will play games almost mindlessly, just rushes through objective to objective and that's it. But I still find myself walking up to examine textures, taking in scenery, the lighting, water mechanics, appreciating having multiple NPC's or games that use loads of dialogue instead of text boxes, not having to load small chunks constantly, not dealing with bullshit mechanics/check point/save systems. I feel like I was one of the last few generations to get these experiences, and it's sorta sad in a way

At some point, I've discovered these tracks on my each visits to Berlin. I enjoyed so much from the rush they gave me. The best one at the
