When I was just starting out, a small company by the name of @vineyardvines was getting rolling and sent two of their staff on the road with my band who had just signed to Universal records. Their slogan was that βEvery Day Should Feel This Good.β They saw me pursuing a dream and that spoke to them. At some point along the way I started seeing their clothing and stores all over the world and I realized they were no longer a tiny company. Two brothers, Shep and Ian Murray, had launched a dream of their own. They were distant acquaintances of mine, but even still I felt a pride and ownership in knowing that I knew them when. . I was so pleased to be invited to their companies annual #TeamHuddle to give a variation of my @tedx_official talk this past Tuesday. Listening to them discuss their values and core beliefs while meeting so many of the hundreds of store managers who had flown in for the event, I left feeling intensely inspired. Plus they gave me this custom @taylorguitars which doesnβt suck one bit π. Business (and life in general) is about so much more than a number in our bank account and if youβre anything like me thatβs a good thing to be reminded of now and again.
