(Just a notice, this started as shit post, but eventually got analytic. It's a bit of a mess. Just bare with me.)

Ren for fuck sake.

Like first, talk to your fucking team, more specifically Nora. Second, what's up with all the bootlicking my dude??? Like??? What???? What the fuck happened to you baby boy??? All of this both seems so in character for you and yet so out of character, and honestly I have so many conflicting emotions about this. On one hand I'm glad he's getting development away from nora, but at the same time I'm like "no baby boy stop that".

I'm also fucking stoked about where they're taking Nora. Like she is so passionate about having the people of mantle be safe and happy. I am so excited to learn about her backstory.

I mean, we can clearly see that Ren and Nora have a conflict of motives, meaning that they are absolutely gonna butt heads even more in the next few episodes, especially considering Ren's lack of support of Nora this episode when she was ranting, and his "yes, sir" (I fully screamed here). I'm gonna go onto my predictions of this "butting heads" in a bit. But genuinely though I am looking forward to seeing them actually fight. And possibly seeing everyone elses reactions to this as well. I mean, suddenly the power couple is at odds???? Hoho this is gonna be a fun next few episodes.

However, another point I am worried about is that, yes, both Nora and Ren have a slight death flag above their heads. More so than the rest of the characters. And it's highly likely someone will die this volume, as the cast is now getting far too big, and it's been too long since we've had an event have a real impact.

We all know that Ren is in the wrong here. That's been indicated enough. What I'm worried will happen is that Ironwood will do something drastic towards the end of the season, and that what Ruby said in today's episode, essencially saying how Salem's goal is to set our heroes against each other, will come true. I reckon without anyone even knowing it, it's going to happen, and is already happening. Ren himself said he's never been good at talking. The more I think about it, the more I think they're painting Ironwood as a villain. And in tandem, Ren as his follower. Not a villain, but no longer as good as we thought he was.

I think there might be a fight. This might be a stretch, but Ren and Nora's morals clash intensely. I think they may fight, physically. Ironwood will do something to make himself one of those morally grey villains. He'll do something that he will see as good, and literally no one but his truest followers will support him. And I think one of those people will be Ren. As the others try to stop Ironwood, they will be shocked to find Ren standing in their way.

This is a stretch. But it's a possibility. One that I am scared for.

I do think this is incredibly unlikely. Renora is more likely to talk it out. Or argue even. But that would still be amazing. I do enjoy me a bit of character development.
