Random thought but what were Hikaru and Ryosuke talking about on their 15 hour roadtrip from Tokyo to Takachiho? How was the ride back lol?

Here are my age estimates for the Hoshino family tree, as well as Miyako's:
Aqua/Ruby: 2006~2007
Ai/Hikaru: 1990~1991
Ayumi/grandparent generation: 1968~1970
Great-grandparents: 1947~1948
Great-great-grandparents: 1926~1927 (💀)
Ai/Hikaru's great-great-grandparents: 1906~1907 (💀 AF)
Thoughts?
while great-grandparents and so on is a bit of an overkill, ai, hikaru, the twins, and ayumi having dates and age estimates is very useful and makes sense. i appreciate you taking the time to calculate and send this!
thank you, and sorry for taking so long to answer. feel free to drop by again!

i was checking out japanese names out of nothing to do and a funny thought occurred to me when I checked out haruki's name meaning.
in the fic, his name is written as 陽輝 in kanji which reads as "sunny, positive" and "to shine, glow splendor".
however, according to the site i use, most common kanji writings for his name are:
春樹 spring + tree (a classic combination)
春貴 spring + noble/precious
暖希 warm + hope
陽嬉 sun + joy
all those combinations are ironic in a way (third and fourth especially, given his life is anything but hopeful and warm), but the first one takes the cake. not only it contains kanji for 'tree' like his last name, but it's also the most classic combination to make up his name. i can't help but imagine this exchange later on as haruki gains fame:
a person: "so your name is haruki, huh? as in 'spring tree'?"
haruki: *who is absolutely done with this situation repeating again and again*: "no, as in 'sunny' and 'glow'".
he blames the parents for the name choices for nth time in his head lol
