Tonight in @emmerdale
The feud between Robert and Joe escalates when Robert tears up the paperwork!
Emmerdale spoilers: Joe Tate sets out to bring down Robert Sugden
Joe Tate is a big fan of the old revenge plot and when Robert Sugden crosses him inadvertently in upcoming Emmerdale scenes, he sets out to bring him down – bringing Robert and Aaron their first new battle as a reunited couple to take on together. Â
Joe is talking to a client when smoke from the scrapyard interferes with their meeting and puts the buyer off. Furious, Joe heads over to have it out with Robert, Aaron and Gerry. Flanked by Graham Foster, he makes it clear that the matter isn’t over – and it is Jimmy King who is going to be used as his tool for trying to bring Robert down.Â
Determined to find dirt to use against Robert, suave Joe sets Jimmy his first main task as his executive assistant and Graham appears to disapprove of him setting Jimmy up as his fall guy.
But is Joe biting off more than he can chew when it comes to taking on Robert? As much as he is as sweet as pie when he is with Aaron, he is certainly not an enemy to take on lightly and both he and Joe might have met their matches in this new feud.
With both men having an eye for trickery and scheming, who will come out on top? And will Jimmy realise that he is being played?
Post Ep Ponderings November 10
Of course, the only person in the world that could ever change Robert’s mind is Aaron. Fuck, I really loved that scene in the scrapyard. As much as Aaron thinks right now that there’s no longer a future for them (and really, who could blame him?), that scene showed to me that they both still know each other better than anyone. It wasn’t planned, but when it came down to it, Aaron knew exactly what to say and do to kick Robert in the right direction. Much like all the times in the past when Robert knew what to say and do to het through to Aaron. It was just a really great scene.
Now I wonder what Robert is going to do about how he’s played the Whites for the last few months. I assume a lot of that could still blow up in his face. I hope whatever does happen, we still get to see him be an awesome dad.
So, Eric is starting to work his way back into Faith’s good graces. I worry that this will lead up to them almost getting together only for it to fall apart the second everyone finds out there are plans to bulldoze the Dingle Homestead.
My new guidepost for this long running misery fest is the lodge. At least this hasn’t become the lodge. No one has been handcuffed to a radiator, bloodied or had a gun in their face. Things suck right now, but at least they aren’t the lodge. If the fandom can live through the lodge than Robron and the fandom can live through this.Â
Today Robert had a breakdown, but that felt mini (Yeah). I think something bigger is coming that will be Roberts official low point. His BIG breakdown. That will put a lot of people to the test in the fandom, but I know regardless what happens with Robert, Aaron or Robron I’m still on Team Robron, Team Robert, and Team Aaron. Â
I feel like what we saw today is a pre-show for the real thing. Someone might be hurt, or even Robert might get hurt, but Robert is due for a HUGE breakdown. Once that happens...I only see things getting better. It has to get better. Like the storm before the calm? (It works in my head)Â
Robert has come so far since 2015. He has grown up so much. I hope people can see that. He isn't just a bad boy. He is someone who is struggling and trying to be better in the face of his worst instincts. Robert has a family in Aaron and Liv. The first time he ever had that and it's gone. So, Robert is losing it. I hope he can learn from this and get even better. Grow even more as a character.Â
Sigh. It will be ok. It has to be ok. I just hope fandom can be ok too.Â

Robron fam, I am so gonna hate this episode aren't I? Not gonna enjoy torturer Jason playing tough and Aaron proving his masculinity to his abuser. Also, Aaron is wearing the angst hoodie. Nothing good can come out of this.
The only way I will enjoy any scene with Jason in it is if Robron teamed up and destroyed him.
robron are so protective of the ones they love, especially when the list of people hurt by that toxic family keeps growing and now it so happens to be the same person meaning the determination level to destroy has risen. i’m so glad they can share this special trait with each other and converse like such dads as they get ready to take down the whites!!
to think at first i was a lil bit wary of aaron being involved with this whole seeking the truth storyline because i thought he wouldn't agree with robert being such a smug sass machine, little did i know the dingle would be nodding his head in agreement right after his bae metaphorically slapped chrissie round the damn face. i honestly forget just how ruthless and trashy aaron can be (he's treatment to carl was epic) and i am so happy he is so onboard with robert doing his thing.
