Have you consider a time jump in the story ?
I have, but the thing is that I also have in mind some very important plot points that coincide with various occurrences in both of their lives that I think would be problematic to skip. Once she gets back to the US, the story will probably make jumps of a few months every chapter or two like we saw after he left NYC before they were dating. You won’t see as much of an acute focus like we did during those few weeks in NYC and these few in England, but I felt that deeper examination was very important because it explored the way they bonded that set the foundation for their romantic relationship and then gave readers insight as to what they are like as a couple when given the space and time to be alone together for more than a few days at a clip.
I THINK that once she leaves, we’ll get a chapter set in September or October, then it’ll jump to Thanksgiving and Christmas in 2014 and New Years in 2015 in short order.
