Why does it seem like dating apps

are breeding a generation who

find replying to texts to be irksome,

talking on a phone to be uncomfortable,

and actually meeting in person to be terrifying?

What happened to finding someone in a bar,

getting drunk, having sex, and waking up

next to someone who only vaguely resembles

the person you remember dancing with

Whisky, when poured with good intention, is a welcome embrace, a giggling friend, a seductive wink from that handsome guy you are too shy to talk to. 

It’s a hand asking you to dance, its basking in the stars, it’s tongue kissing. Running home at 5am feeling light as air. Twirling on roof tops not caring who sees. It’s deep conversations, hushed tones, secrets shared. Love blossoming or taking root in softened hearts. 

LIMITATIONS? NOT HAVING ENOUGH FAITH TO EMBRACE ALL OF YOUR POTENTIAL? COWERING AWAY FROM OTHER JUDGEMENT? WHERE IS THE COURAGE TO BE YOURSELF AND THE PERSON YOU WANT TO BE! 

STANDING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF FEAR

I think is hard for us as beings to understand that it's ok to fear things... Yes it's ok. Accepting you are afraid  of something is  first step to over coming it. Fear if ignored can become a heavy halo above your head if you don't handle it. Running away and Resisting what you afraid of gives fear the power to control you. The only way to escape fear is to come into contact with it. Fear is an indicator. Fear tells us what we have to do. Within the universe there is a divine order of things which keeps the balance even. The good and the bad. The sun and the moon... Noise and silence.... What I'm trying to say is; With out fear how would you know courage?Our fears invite us to be courageous. To step out of our comfort zones and experience things. Courage doesn't promise that you won't be afraid but it promises that you won't let fear stop you from missing out on opportunities to experience and grow.
