What’s the point? It’s hard to say what he keeps note of anymore. He’s become too secretive. He just called me to let me know he wants to meet up at a local diner. Let’s see what I’m dragged into this time... I gotta figure something out before it’s too late.

He’ll believe whatever he wants. It’s not about what really happened. I can’t do this anymore. I care for the guy, but what more can I do? Haven’t I tried everything? No one else will believe him. I’ve let him record me, but the second I’d say something he didn’t want to hear he’d just just delete everything. I feel responsible for his wife’s death. Ironically, I feel like I’ve become the killer in some way. I fear I’ll be next on the list. He’s going to come after me. I know he is.

He’s just too fragile. I’m running out of ideas here... I tried telling him all about his wife one last time. He started scrambling to make sense of it all, calling me a liar as he choked me. Another time, I tried telling him he had already found and killed the murderer, but he almost killed me afterwards. I think I need to forget about this guy, but oddly enough... I don’t think he’ll forget about me.

I’ve found “the killer” for the last time. Before, I couldn’t pass up letting someone else do my dirty work for me. I thought he’d benefit from killing them. When it didn’t work the first time, I tried it again... and again. But then, he refused to kill this last one! I think he could tell the guy was clueless. I had to get involved and finish the job before the guy said anything to Lenny. 

I tried getting his wife to come peacefully. She gave me no other choice... I had to kidnap her. I brought her to the Inn he’s been staying at. Let’s just say... It wasn’t pretty. Between her screams with tape over her mouth and his meltdown, all I can remember him saying was “you’re already dead.” Curled up on the floor, repeating these words over and over, he eventually snapped. I tried to reassure him she was the real deal, but I couldn’t. I just wish I hadn’t kept her handcuffed. May she rest in peace.

His wife is alive... Yeah, they were attacked. So? They both survived. It could’ve been much worse. Why did he convince himself that she died? What happened between them after the incident to cause them to split? Why didn’t she stand by him to help him through his memory condition? If anything, I can easily blame her for all this. Better yet, I should get her involved. I’ve kept her out of this long enough. Time to reunite these lovebirds.

It’s been 342 days now since I’ve met Lenny at the station. These entries are helping me keep some sanity in all this. I can’t believe I’ve been keeping up with this guy for so long. I’ll admit, I’ve had my fun with him. Playing tricks on him, convincing him that he’s done some things that he just didn’t have a chance to record has been too easy. But I do that to remind myself that he really does have a problem, that he isn’t just some crazy person.
