  Sparrow came through the water; soaked and clutching a small bag close to his chest, which he hurriedly stuffed inside shirt as screeching and shouting was soon heard behind them. “Come on, come on!” he urged them as they darted down the embankment towards the shore where the boat was waiting to take them back to the Pearl.

“Are ye mad; what have ye done now!?” Hector snarled as they sloshed through the surf to get the boat out into the water, Jack flopping down inside it; chest heaving as he rasped for air, giggling between pants for breath.

“It’ll all be worth it luv, you’ll see. Tia suggested a trade; and I took her up on it.” He gave Kili one of his telling, mischievous looks that was so charming and yet dangerous at the same because it meant he was up to something likely mad, foolish and impulsive. That wild streak that was so endearing and so terrifying all at once.

It was only once they arrived back at the Pearl, and the people chasing them had been left behind on the shore that Sparrow pulled his lovers into the cabin, stripping off his sopping clothes with careless abandon until he was just standing in his shirt tails and breeches and produced the bag he’d hidden from them.

Inside was a small, but obviously very valuable pendant; bright silver with blue beads and pearls surrounding a dark blue stone etched with a strange sigil. “I got a look at this lovely and it just...called to me. Had to have it; not sure what it does,but seems to matter little. I offered Tia a fair price for but she was being mysterious and stingy about it; like she does. Not fair at all. So I...” he shrugged and laughed, eyes still bright and sparkling. ‘I think I’ll just keep it for a bit; until she comes to her senses, savvy?”

He gave Kili a kiss, and the man could taste that he had been drinking something as well, something perhaps a good deal stronger than his usual rum.

At this point Barbossa stood, shaking his head and looking irriated. “Yer out of yer skull, Sparrow, messin’ with that witch.”  He knew of course, there was no reasoning with Sparrow in this moment--not with that look in his eye. The man needed to sleep this off and would still likely pay the price for his idiocy tomorrow.

With the Captain fawning over their younger lover he grunted and turned towards the door, throwing a look at Kili; “Best ye get him to bed if ye can; he’s worthless for anything else at the moment. Try to wear him out.” he added and closed the door a bit sharply behind him.

Jack clearly had his mind on other things; having slipped the necklace around his neck and was now kissing and toying with Kili. “Oh let the old grouch go...he’ll be back. For now it’s just you and me.” he purred.

He tugged Kili back towards the bed and fell down with him, kissing and necking, cuddled tight...but after only a few moments Sparrow began to feel his energy drain and found himself surprisingly lethargic. He paused, resting his head against Kili’s as he tried to recover, feeling the overwhelming urge to sleep stealing over him, a bizarre warm numbness slowly creeping through his limbs. “Mm....apologies luv...think Tia’s wine has gone to me head a bit...”

He cuddled down close to the man with a feeling that was like weightlessness taking over him before his eyes closed and he fell asleep, slipping into a strange dream...
