MandoVision!
The Mandalorian Visual Guide introduces "MandoVision"; which is, basically, a Mandalorian Helmet T-Visor's Heads-Up Display (HUD). I'm so glad they're finally focusing on this in the current lore. However, this isn't the first time the HUD's of Mandalorian Helmets have been portrayed. As far back as the classic Boba Fett comic 'Twin Engines of Destruction' (1997), both Jodo Kast & Boba Fett's Helmet HUD's were shown.
Later on, in the Mando-centric video game Star Wars Bounty Hunter (2002), when playing as Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Jango Fett players would utilize Jango's Helmet HUD (referred to in the game as the ID Scanner) to scan, identify & mark targets that are wanted bounties. And in the Remastered version (2024), the upgraded graphics gives the ID Scanner an improved & wider Heads-Up Display screen, as well as another cool feature; whenever the ID Scanner is in use, time now slows down, making collecting bounties a little bit easier.
After that, other Heads-Up Displays are showcased in the following:
*When playing a Clone Commando in the game Republic Commando (2005).
*The Clone Commando Gregor (CC-5576-39) When assisting D-Squad with their escape (The Clone Wars - Missing In Action).
*Commander Cody (CC-2224) Locates Jedi Master Luminara Unduli in the dark by using his Helmet Light & HUD (Legacy of Terror).
I've also included diagrams with pictures & information about different Mandalorian Helmets, in addition to various Mandalorian Helmets & the look of their interiors. (Notice the similarities between the Helmets of Din Djarin, Bo-Katan & the Armorer, especially the circuitry located on the top of their helmets).
I'm pleased they are bringing more attention to Mandalorian Helmets having Heads-Up Displays. I'm hoping we'll get to see in upcoming shows & films not only what Din Djarin's Helmet HUD looks like but also the Heads-Up Displays of Boba Fett, Bo-Katan, The Armorer, Axe Woves & all of the other various Mandos.
