#system gatekeepers

In light of recent in-system events

So from what we can understand about our gatekeepers and how they work and function, it seems that each subsystem and layer has their own designated gatekeeper. I only personally know 2 gatekeepers so I'll try to answer this as best as I can. From the 2 that I know, they're very secretive and they seem to know a lot more about the system than the rest of us. They explain stuff like our system structure and inner world structure as best they can, while also withholding certain information that they believe is best for the rest of us to just not know. There is like a hierarchy in our system and the role gatekeepers play is not far enough up in the ranks to achieve complete control over switches and the control they have is very minimal at best. Gatekeepers also have the ability to close off whole areas of the innerworld/completely close off certain subsystems/layers and this is why I only know 2 because a lot of our layers and subsystems are closed off by gatekeepers from other layers and subsystems, even those 2 gatekeepers can't bypass these barriers but they still seem to know much much more than they let on. They tend to be very very vague and they're not always around 100% of the time, but if I ever needed the gatekeeper from my subsystem and layer, he'd be here in a flash. He's said that if he's not around he's at least always close by and some gatekeeper stuff has to do with the 'higher ups' and that just gets into more complicated complex stuff because I don't really understand the hierarchy at the moment and they exist on a completely separate layer that's closed off so yeah. Gatekeeper stuff be weird sometimes. The gatekeepers I know are like lower level gatekeepers and can only have alters switch with others that are immediately available to them, if an alter switches in that wasn't available to them or even alters they weren't even aware of, oftentimes it has something to do with the higher ups or a gatekeepers from a different layer/subsystem that I'm not aware of.
