In ep6 I noticed a picture of a musician above, and my inner sixteen year old gasped: “Alice!”, but the picture still was quite small and blurry and “what if I’m wrong”. I wasn’t sure how to find this exact pic, doubted my fan youth’s memory for a while, then… trusted myself and typed in a search bar: “Alice Cooper 1970s”… to find this very picture among the firsts in Google! (Sixteen year old me would be so proud 🥹) Then I thought: What if they synced their finale with one of Alice’s albums? I recalled a number of facts and it all made sense.

Reasons to sync Alice Cooper to ST epilogue 👇

1. Alice Cooper is a horror storyteller in music

Alice Cooper is the “Godfather of Shock rock”, a pioneer of theatrical rock (who was especially popular around the 70-90s, although he’s still famous till these days), applying to his art in a horror series would make just perfect sense.

2. The name

It was actually the first thing I thought when I questioned whether they could refer to his music. I realised that YES, they absolutely should’ve done that. And if they did not, they would miss out!

Alice as in Alice in Wonderland? You know where I’m going with it. But it is even more than that!

Originally it was a name of the band (and now his legal name too), in his book he shared:

“There was something about it. I conjured up an image of a little girl with a lollipop in one hand and a butcher knife in the other. Lizzie Borden. Alice Cooper. They had a similar ring.”

A little girl with a lollipop and a butcher knife? Feels like pretty much s5 conformitygate to me!

3. But was there anything more than just one picture in the show?
