I finally completed my made out of garbage She-Ra sword! I love 3D printing and working with EVA foam but they can get expensive. Things like styrofoam and newspaper can be gotten for either very cheap or free if you look in the right places. The only parts that will cost money are reuseables like glue, sandpaper, spackle, and paint (and a dowel which is worthwhile but not absolutely necessary). I've made a few props with paper mache and the only major downside working with it is the amount of time you have to invest in each step (Yes, Netflix, I am still watching.
