Hey fitfam! I thought I'd do a post on what supps I'm currently taking to assist me in reaching my goals! NOTE: I'm not taking all of these everyday! I rotate between the workouts & thermos. My protein pretty much stays the same though.

Fitmiss Ignite ($46.95):

This is one of my more recent purchases and I have to say I'm rather impressed. The flavour I chose was 'Grape' and unfortunately it tastes FOUL. BUT, the actual effects of this supplement make it worth getting through. EFFECTS - 9/10 I get a nice pump going and feel a great boost of energy throughout my workout. While my muscles get fatigued, my overall energy levels stay raised allowing me to push through my workouts. TASTE - 4/10 As I said above, this supp tastes pretty foul. The grape flavour is very muted and the overall experience isn't great whilst throwing this one back. While it mixes well, the 'powdery' taste still remains. ICK! They have two other flavours available also - Orange & Fruit Punch. PRICE: I think this pre-workout is fairly reasonably priced. You get 28 individual sachets, so that works out @ $1.68 each. Not the cheapest, but it works well so it's worth it. (In my eyes anyway!)

Define8 ($52.95):

This was my first ever pre-workout back during my first attempt. At the time I thought it was the bees knees, now it's a little weak for me. EFFECTS - 6/10 Like I said above, this used to work great for me, but it just doesn't cut it anymore. I don't get a good buzz from it and I don't find the energy I need to pump out a solid workout. It does provide me with a bit of extra focus, but that's about it! I still take it from time to time just to change things up.

TASTE - 8/10 This supplement tastes pretty great, especially the newer 'sugar-free' version. I've had both watermelon and grape - I have to say watermelon was my favourite! Not too sweet and not too bland.

PRICE: This is fairly cheap supplement. At $52.95 a tub, you get 60 serves. That works out at just $0.89 per serve!

Met-RX Amped ECN NOS ($39.95):

This is my new favourite pre-workout. It just supplies me with the energy and focus I need to feel a satisfying workout.

EFFECTS - 9/10 I get a great buzz from this supplement. I certainly feel it kicking in and my mental focus increases. I get a great pump and feel the energy surging through me! I feel I get a solid workout with this supplement and still have energy throughout the rest of my day. I do find I come down a little after a few hours, but nothing dramatic.

TASTE - 9/10 I got this one in grape bubblegum flavour and it's quite pleasent! Not too sweet, not too bland. It's very easy to get down and mixes really well. PRICE: I got my Met-RX free with a recent supp order, however normally it's still fairly well priced. At just $39.95 and 22 serves, that works out @ $1.82 per serve. So while it's a little more expensive then some, it ticks all the boxes. Works well & tastes pretty great!

Oxyshred ($68.95):

This was my first thermogenic ever and I definitely saw results. I found I started to shed some weight and had great focus. EFFECTS - 8/10 While the effects aren't too present when you actually take the supplement, the over gradual slim down is quite apparent. I did find my temperature would increase about 1 hour after taking the supplement, however it would return to normal within the following hour or two. I didn't get a buzz from this one, but I felt more focused throughout my day. TASTE - 7.5/10 While this supp tastes great, I find it a little too sweet. Of the 4 flavours I've tried 3 and liked 2! The 'Wild Melon' is my favourite, follwoed by 'Guava Paradise'. I did not care for 'Strawberry Kiwi' at all. PRICE: This one is fairly reasonably priced. Diablo ($63.95): 

Probably my new favourite thermogenic product. I found the experience to be fairly similar to oxyshred, but this one is just a tad cheaper!

EFFECTS - 8/10 Again, this supplement didn't make me feel any different when I took it but overall I noticed a difference after about 2 weeks of use. I don't get the hot temperature with this supplement, which is why I currently prefer this to Oxyshred.

TASTE - 9/10 This thermo tastes phenomenal! I got the Pineapple Passionfruit flavour and it's fabulous. Not too sweet and very easy to get down. I also like that I don;t have to mix this with too much water. PRICE: At $63.95 per 60 serve tub, this one works out at just $1.07! Great value for money and a product that has worked really well for me.

Green Tea X50:

I am loving my Green tea with breakfast and lunch. It certainly makes it easy for me to consume more water throughout the day as well.

EFFECTS - 8.5/10 I love the energy boost I get from this supplement. Unlike the energy I get from workouts, this one is very slow release, allowing me to stay focused and active throughout the day. I always make sure not to drink this after 1pm though as I have found difficulty sleeping through the night if I have it any later.

TASTE - Trop - 9, Orig - 8, Rasp - 6.5 My favourite flavour is the tropical variant, so I ordered a whole box of that this time. The sample boxes (or variety boxes) come with 3 flavours so you can test them all out and see what you like. They all taste pretty good and only have a green tea aftertaste.

ON Gold Standard Whey: 

I love this protein. It's smooth and it's delicious!

EFFECTIVENESS - 7.5/10 Protein is protein. The effect of each one may vary slightly depending on the mix you get (e.g. WPI vs WPC) but they are all designed to help you rebuild and replenish your muscles. I find this protein works well for me and helps to relieve my fatigued muscles after a workout.

TASTE - 9.5/10 I've never had a better tasting protein! I've tried only two flavours of the range, but I love both. 'Choc Mint' is my favourite at the moment, with 'Choc Malt' coming in close second. These protein powders mix really well and are easy as to drink.

ON Gold Standard Casein:

This is my first casein product and so far I'm a huge fan. 

EFFECTIVENESS - 9/10 So far, every time I've pumped it out in a workout to the point where I know I'm going to hurt tomorrow this casein has helped my muscles recover dramatically. By having this protein right before I go to bed, my body is being fed with rich sources of protein all night long, helping my muscles to recover quickly. While I'm still sore the next day, I can still function and move properly allowing me to continue exercising to my full potential. TASTE - 8.5/10 This product tastes pretty damn good. I've currently got the 'choc-peanut butter' flavour and it's rather nice. It's a little on the sweet side though and the consistency of the liquid is quite thick once fully mixed.
