En una Universidad, había cuatro estudiantes de segundo año, todos ellos con calificaciones promedio de "A". Estos cuatro amigos tenían que presentar el examen final de física y estaban tan seguros de pasar que decidieron que estudiarían un día antes de la evaluación. Ese fin de semana visitaron a unos amigos y tuvieron una gran fiesta, abundante en alcohol, mujeres bonitas, droga, música, baile, etc., por lo que durmieron todo el domingo y olvidaron estudiar para su examen. En lugar de presentar el examen final, con preocupación por su irresponsabilidad, decidieron disculparse argumentando que salieron de la ciudad y en el camino de regreso, se les pinchó una llanta. Y aunque quisieron llegar, perdieron su examen. El profesor estuvo de acuerdo en hacerles el examen al día siguiente. Los chicos estaban muy emocionados y aliviados. Estudiaron toda la noche para el examen. Al día siguiente, el profesor los puso en salones separados y les dio un folleto de prueba de dos páginas, indicándoles que el primer problema valía 5 puntos. Confiados, cada uno respondió sin problema la parte inicial del examen, pensaron que iba a ser fácil... Luego se pasó la página siguiente.
