A delicious treat, these tender pork chops with cheese filling are encased in crispy bacon. The tender pork is enhanced in flavor by the combination of cheese and bacon, which makes it an excellent choice for supper.
Ingredients: 4 boneless pork chops. 4 slices of bacon. 4 slices of your favorite cheese e.g., cheddar, Swiss, or provolone. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme. 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 375F 190C. Using a sharp knife, make a pocket in each pork chop by slicing horizontally, being careful not to cut all the way through. Season the inside of each pocket with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, and oregano. Place a slice of cheese inside each pocket. Wrap each stuffed pork chop with a slice of bacon, securing it with toothpicks if needed. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bacon-wrapped pork chops and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until the bacon is slightly crispy. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145F 63C. Remove the toothpicks and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious cheese-stuffed bacon-wrapped pork chops!
