Oh man, Dames as a character devastates me in all the right ways. He has all Damien’s character traits, his memories, everything MC fell for. They aren’t his, but they could be a starting point. Who could he become, given the chance? I really hope he’s not gone forever.
Even Hailey/Hayden, who doesn’t click with Damien, bonded with Dames over their new shared ground, and I got the feeling that they’re a little bummed to have lost that.
And then on the Damien/MC/Damien front… Dames and MC must have had moments of “If we don’t get Damien back–” Where they looked at the other one and thought Maybe–? And then felt incredibly guilty.
It would be dark as hell, but a scenario where Damien died at Eros and the two of them try to make a life together, dealing with his ghost between them…. MC falling for the parts of Dames that are different from Damien….
………but YES thank goodness Damien’s back and relatively safe! Cecile better fucking watch her back. 💀🔪
