â i didnât think youâd care. â
âWell, thanks for believing in me,â Tao replies, his tone sounds sarcastic but playful. There is a small beat of silence between them. For the last couple days, he hasnât seen much of Ayato, which he would consider normal since the guy usually went out of his way to avoid him. But when he stopped by to check on his friend (friend used very loosely), he wasnât surprised to see that Ayato had been feeling under the weather. From speaking to a few of his Officers, he also knew that they hadnât seen Ayato around either.Â
He narrowly resists the urge to touch Ayato, just to skim a hand over his forehead to make sure he didnât have a fever. But thereâs almost a knee-jerk reaction telling him âNO TOUCHINGâ, itâs something that Ayato makes sure to remind him over and overâby now, itâs become a mantra in his head. âOf course I care. Donât sound so down.âÂ
He tilts head his curiously, regarding the other with a cool gaze, âHave you eaten yet? Just âcause you feel a little sick, doesnât mean you shouldnât eat, you know! Itâs what my Commander always tells me! OrâŠmaybe it was someone else!â Whether Ayato answers or not, Tao still moves towards the window, giving the other a quick wave before hopping onto the sill, âIâll get you something to eat so just wait here!â
