Nikki becomes aware of her own feelings towards Max, she feels obligated to confess to him. But Gwen talked her out of it, explaining that Max himself may not be aware of his own feelings for her YET.

Nikki grows impatient on waiting and tries as much as possible to “WAKE HIM UP” through various ways (with the help of David :3 )

One time she decided to play truth or dare with him… Which results with max being all blushie!

Uncovered scene

Neil: Nikki!?

Nikki: hey guys! guess what I’m not dying, it was just-- 

Without any warning Max and Neil grabs her and pulled her into a big hug. Nikki who was absolutely confused of the situation stood still. 

She can hear small hics and sniffs from both of them, but she couldn’t make up any of the words the two murmured. Suddenly she felt small droplets against her skin, she looked up a bit and found both of them in tears.

Nikki: guys? are you.. crying?

Max: Shut up.

Neil: How can you say that, if you’re crying too, Nikki.

Nikki realizing that she was also full of tears hugged the two tighter. The small girl trembled, shouting from the top of her lungs, words that stung every camper, including David and Gwen in the heart.

Nikki: I don’t wanna lose you, I don’t want to lose any of you, please stay with me! please!

There was no point in acting strong, they were kids. 

Nikki wasn’t scared of death, she was scared of not being part of her friends lives till the end. And she clearly knew that, but she didn’t want to “end” it all with sad faces so she acted like it was a-okay. but for Max and Neil who have been with her since day one of camp, knew it all.
