that time someone in a fandom i was in did a long recs list of their main pairing just so they could include half of their own fics in it 🤔
#i was on that list but in a way that confirmed to me that i was indeed not wanted in the fandom unless i wrote the correct thing#which fucked with me for a while until i realised 'hang on this list only exists to justify the self-recs doesn't it?'#which is another issue but it's funny enough to reduce the sting of the other thing substantially.#subtumbling
