Because it’s as crazy as it sounds. In a nutshell, my brother’s rooster got stuck on our neighbor’s property....for hours. I even noticed him twice, but he was too far away the first time, so I couldn’t tell he was on the wrong property. I also had to help my brother coax the dumb thing back onto our property.

When I was in elementary school, we craved out styrofoam to make mock wood prints. Naturally, I drew the Roadrunner. I think the assignment called for an abstract image (hence his two heads). I drew this character so much growing up that when I made this, I vividly remember my art teacher’s unamused and inappropriate comment to me, “You’re drawing that stupid bird again?!” It’s been years but I remember that so perfectly.
