We are making city collages in kindergarten and 1st grade. This project provides great practice for our painting, drawing, cutting, and gluing skills!

Aries is a fire element. symbolic relates to passion, energy and sexuality. Fire is wild, unpredictable and energetic. It can be used to warm ourselves or can destroy whole ecosystems. It reflects the drive and willpower of people. The Tower can be read as a warning for what happens when this sign burns out of control.

Had a random idea to change my upcoming 4th grade Op Art unit from simple florescent colored pencil drawings to making relief prints instead! I think using fluorescent paint on black paper will create a greater effect and look. What do you guys think? #elementaryart #arteducation

Our yarn weaving unit in 3rd grade has begun! The students always love learning about Navajo weaving and then getting to weave their own colorful rugs.

It’s critique day in 5th grade! We are in the middle of our art from Japan unit. We recently learned about anime and manga and designed a character inspired by some of the clips of Miyazaki films we watched. Doing a class critique builds students’ confidence and ability to receive feedback on their work.
