Doing my precalc homework while I got the notif that you opened requests, my brain immediately went to the scenario of Ratchet helping you with your homework while you're sitting there at the kitchen table trying not to cry and he's trying not to yell at you. Have fun with that if you want lmaoo, I will be happy with anything ratchet related in your writing style (*^3^)~♡
I avoided math like the plague in high school despite being kinda good at it because I had heard the horror stories of pre-calc and I do not regret my decisions.

“Okay, so-” Ratchet takes a deep vent in while simultaneously dragging a servo down his faceplates. The pause makes you cringe even further and you regret ever asking for help with your homework. “-let’s try this another way.”
You groan and put your head on the table beside the multitudes of paper with varied sizes of scribbles on them. “It’s okay Ratchet, it’s just one test.”
Huffing, Ratchet pushes a pen towards your head with a very large servo, “Yes, it is only one test, but it’s also something you’re going to need to understand if you don’t want to fail your class.”
You whine and pick up the pen and another stack of graph paper. Stupid math. Stupid calculus. Stupid smart alien robots who are too smart to explain math simply. Stupid math.
“Okay, let’s start with the basics, maybe it’ll help if someone else explains it to you.” Ratchet motions for you to draw a circle, and you do.
“Now this part is just basic memorization, when the angle is 30°-” tapping on the paper on where you assume 30° is, you draw a line from the centre to the edge. “-that means the value is what?”
“The root of three divided by two?”
“Great! What is the Cos value at 45°?” He points and taps again, you draw another line. Maybe he’s trying to build muscle memory.
“...The root of two divided by two?”
This time he doesn’t tap, he just points. “Good!.. and 60°?”
“One half.” This line is drawn haphazardly. Not wonky, simply a lighter scratch on the paper. You would say it's because you don't care but it's really more that you just want to be done.
"One over what?"
"Two."
“See? Easy! You know the Sin ones as well, yes?”
Slowly you roll your head so your face smushes on the table. “Yes. It’s one, then root of two, then root three, divided by two.”
“Now all you have to do is build on that! I don’t see why you’re having so much trouble? It’s the same thing over and over again but with another rule or so, if you know the basics you should have a pretty good understanding of the geometric relationships between the quadrants.”
Ugh. Even his explanations sound complicated. Your voice comes muffled from your close proximity to the table and you immediately feel the warm vapour of your own breath hitting the metal. “I know I should.”
Ratchet begins to tap the table, feeling waves of confusion, frustration and disappointment buzzing in the air all originating from you. “But you don’t.”
“..No.. not really.”
“I think you’re getting worked up and forgetting small details.”
Sighing you drop the pen and cross your arms over the back of your head in a sense of pity for yourself. “Probably.”
Ratchet seems to be getting the note that you're done for the day and starts putting away the paper, which honestly causes tears to prick around your eyes. You don't even know why. Stupid math. Stupid unit circle. Stupid pre-calc.
“...Your field feels horrible.”
“Probably because I feel stupid. I just wanna fail the test at this point.”
Ratchet shifts his weight where he sits. “...Did you.. Maybe want to do something else? I could get you some ice cream from town?”
Turning your head to look at Ratchet, you’re a tad bit embarrassed by the choked hiccup that escapes. “A break sounds nice. But we don't have to get ice cream or anything.”
“Hm. I could turn on the sirens?”
Now that sounds fun. You finally sit up and simply stare at Ratchet for a moment before speaking slowly as if he would take the invitation back. “... That kinda sounds like fun. Can we do that?”
There’s a gruff smile that stretches across Ratchet’s face before he rolls the pen towards you to be put away. “Sure kid, just-” despite no one being in the room, he still looks around before whispering, “-Just don’t tell the others, alright?”
You laugh and hold your hand to shake, “That sounds like a deal.”

Thanks for the inspiration, like I said I avoided math like the plague so I hope this resonates with ya'll on some level.
