(idk how to phrase it) like looking at baby photos and watching old interviews and stuff. they're both fucking obsessed with each other. i firmly believe that ilya has baby photos of shane in his wallet, and shane has a bookmarked folder on his computer of interviews ilya did when he was a teenager (they're all entirely in russian and shane can barely understand them) ilya is constantly bringing up how if they had know ln each other when they were preteens ilya would have bullied shane relentlessly because he would have had a crush on him and had no idea what to do about it. shane makes svetlana mail him photos from russia of ilya as a toddler. like i just think they both love each other so much their souls long for each other and they both revel in seeing that kind of innocence from the other? and also cute babies
